The following postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is available to support activities in the field of marine geoscience:

Research area: seismic reflection profiling and interpretation, multibeam bathymetric collection, processing and analysis, lithostratigraphic correlations.

The successful applicant will be expected to engage in full-time postdoctoral studies under the supervision of a member of the academic staff in the School of Agriculture, Earth and Environmental Sciences/Discipline of Geological Sciences

Minimum Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree obtained in the last five years in a discipline relevant to the topic of the Chair (such as sedimentology/geophysics or similar)
  • Must be based at UKZN for the duration of the scholarship.
