Portfolios

The Geological Society of South Africa is governed by the GSSA Council, the Management Committee (Manco), and the Executive Office, in accordance with the Society's Constitution and By-Laws. The Executive Office is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Society and contributes to organizational processes and strategy. Manco is a subset of Council and holds primary operational and strategic authority over Society affairs; its members serve as Vice Presidents responsible for specific portfolios, which may change over time. Council acts as the Society's governing board, reviewing and ratifying the actions of both Manco and the Executive Office.
