MINSA talk: Strengthening the Security & Integrity of the Precious Metals Supply Chain

You are hereby all invited to a talk by Prof. Robert Schouwstra entitled “Strengthening the Security & Integrity of the Precious Metals Supply Chain” to take place on Thursday the 3rd of August

(2017) at the University of Johannesburg.

The talk will highlight work conducted by Prof. Schouwstra’s on the United Nations Interregional Crime & Justice Research Institute(UNICRI):

“Illicit trafficking in precious metals generates a number of local and global challenges and threats. It not only harms the mining companies, but also severely hinders the socioeconomic development of producing countries while putting local communities at risk. In addition, illicit trafficking increases the precious metals  ler online uk supply chain’s vulnerability to the infiltration of transnational organised crime and it is also frequently associated to different serious cross-border crimes”.
