Application for TWAS Fellowship for Research and Advanced Training

The World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries (TWAS) (www.twas.org)is a global science academy based in Trieste, Italy, working to advance science and engineering for sustainable prosperity in the developing world. Its principal aim is to promote scientific capacity and excellence for sustainable development.

The administration and financial operation of TWAS is undertaken by UNESCO in accordance with an agreement between UNESCO and the Italian Government for TWAS.

The Research and Advanced  ustralia Training Fellowship is offered to young scientists in developing countries to enable them to spend between three and twelve months at a research institute in a developing country other than their own. The purpose of these fellowships is to enhance the research capacity of promising scientists, espacially those at the beginning of their research careers, helping them to foster linkages for further cooperation.
