On March 4, the proposed regulations for the Geoscience Act were gazetted for public comment, due in the DMRE by April 19. Insofar as the regulations as proposed have far-reaching effects on the geosciences in South Africa, the GSSA has submitted comments. Please read them below and direct any questions or other commentary to the GSSA.
